It’s been a while so I decided to reread the Bible from cover to cover. As part of this endeavor, I am going to post some of my thoughts and questions along the way.
My first question comes out of Genesis 4:
“If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. It’s desire is for you, but you must rule over it.” (Genesis 4:7, ESV)
Why does God use the same verbiage when describing sin’s relationship with Cain (us) as He does when describing a woman’s relationship with her husband (c.f. 3:16)? Are we, essentially, wedded to sin?
