About Christopher C. Randolph

Christopher C. Randolph is a popular teacher, speaker, and author in North Carolina.  He’s also the founder of Christ Bearer Ministries.  Faith is the most important aspect of his life. James 2:23 reminds us that “Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a friend of God.” (ESV).  Paul references Habbakuk as he sets up his letter to the Roman church when he says, “the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith,  as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”  ( Romans 1:17 ESV).   In fact, Paul lays it all on the line when he states emphatically, “. . .whatever does not proceed from faith is sin” (Romans 14:23, ESV, emphasis added).

  10. Chris, I admire your ability to appreciate the contribution of each person who responds to your blog. It is an immense tribute that neither you nor Cassie is threatened by the other, but carry on a respectfully interesting conversation. (Oh, congratulations on your Sunshine Blog Award!)

    In that spirit, I see “righteousness,” not as a noun, to be possessed, but as “right relationships.” In my perception, that proceeds, not from mere faith, but faith in action. Not only James, but even the theologian, St. Paul, as in 1 Corinthians 13, recognizes that. I happened to be Christian. For me, that is expressed in Jesus’ response to his disciples’ concern about people doing good, but not in Jesus’ name: Don’t worry. By their fruits, you will know them. The Psalms acknowledge that “God” is revealed and experienced throughout the world, among many nations (not just by American Christians”). Abraham is the “father of many nations.”

    For witches, I wonder: does it make a difference whether they are from east or west?

  11. Thanks for visiting my blog. I was trying to reply to your blog post on faith but it wouldn’t accept it there. I’ll try and post my reply here.
    I’m thinking that to be even considered a true Christian, you need to have faith. Anyone can love. Even pagans can love. But without faith in Jesus Christ, you are not a Christian and therefore you will not inherit the Kingdom of God. Faith therefore is the entry ticket. Once you are in faith, in order to keep yourself in good standing, you need good works and that’s where love is foremost.
    First John 20:29 and then Matthew 22:39
    Remember, James 2:19. Faith in Jesus Christ is non-negotiable.

    A couple of weeks ago, I bought a stack of Margaret Starbird’s books on Mary Magdalene and sacred geometry. Then, I wondered what Mary Magdalene looked like, and started looking at paintings and statuary over the centuries depicting her. When I saw your painting of Mary, my heart was touched deeply. You have captured her essence exactly in the moment. She is the epitome of the perfect devotee. I printed out a copy of your painting from the Internet and put it in a little frame. (I hope you don’t mind.) Now, every time I see the picture, it reduces me to bhakti tears.
