Jesus Came to Save the World

And Jesus cried out and said, “Whoever believes in me, believes not in me but in him who sent me. And whoever sees me sees him who sent me. I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness. If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. The one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day. For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment—what to say and what to speak. And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has told me.”
(John 12:44-50 ESV)

Jesus is, of course, the Son Of God so the above makes sense.  Our Father sent Him to earth on a mission so what Jesus says and does is from Father.  Think on this though.  It’s not like Jesus had a cell phone to get instructions for the day. I doubt that anyone has bars in Heaven anyway.  Yea.  I’m joking.  Kind of.  I’m also making a point.

The point is that Jesus spent quite a bit of time in prayer.  Then He acted or spoke.  Prayer is where Jesus got in contact with His Father.  Then He was able to act boldly.  That’s why He could say, “What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has told me.”  Because that’s what God told Him to say.

So pray today at the foot of the throne.  Listen to you Father and be annointed fresh by God and then bless the world by following His will.

God Bless,

Christopher

  1. It is true what you say, we do bless the world by acting on His will and setting our own agendas aside, we don’t often think of this when we follow what God asks of us, we tend to see just the current situations, but God’s view is MUCH bigger, thanks for the reminder Christopher.
    God Bless!
